Two Day Pattern Correction Class

This class is an extensive Hands-on course on how to properly identify and how to correct pattern bow, skew and elongation. We use large 12’ X 16’ modules that create a realistic scenario of a job-site condition. We install patterned carpet both Glue-Direct as well as conventionally over a cushion. We create as much as a 3-to-4-inch deviation and go through procedures and techniques on how to correct them. We cover:

• Properly identifying Bow, Skew and Elongation
• Pattern counting prior to cutting
• Set match pattern vs drop match pattern and why it's important
• Use of a dead-man and pattern stretcher
• Proper use of a Dry Line or Lasor
• Hands-on Elongation correction
• Koolglide Seaming system techniques with Patterned carpet
• Various Seam Sealing Techniques
• Open time vs Working time when installing patterns
